Have Money When You Stop Working
As part of POWDR, Lee Canyon is pleased to offer a robust suite of employee benefits, including a 401(k) retirement savings plan. Based on input and feedback from employees, we are excited to share some new changes to our 401(k) savings plan that will provide more opportunity for employees to participate in the program.
First, beginning February 1, 2019, POWDR’s 401(k) plan will allow employees under 21 years old to participate. This means that all employees 18 years and older can enter the 401(k) plan on the first day of the month following their date of hire. However, any employee younger than 18 years old is not eligible to join the 401(k) until the first day of the month following their 18th birthday.
Second, and also starting on February 1, seasonal employees will be allowed to participate in the 401(k) plan sooner after being hired. This means seasonal employees can enroll in the 401(k) saving plan without having to meet requirements such as achieving one year of employment status or working 1,000 hours before being eligible.
Each individual employee should still evaluate their options, however, so that we can all continue to live a balanced life full of adventure, we’re thrilled to be able to offer this important benefit of enrolling in the 401(k) which was designed to make it easy and convenient for employees to save for their retirement and their future.
