Vaccine Philosophy & COVID Updates

We believe requiring all staff to be vaccinated is the best way to protect one another, our guests, and our communities and is crucial to ending the pandemic. In addition, the U.S. Department of Labor’s Occupational Safety and Health Administration has also announced that vaccines will be required for all employers over 100 employees.

As such, we will now be requiring all employees to have received at least one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine by November 8, 2021 and be fully vaccinated by December 10, 2021.

In addition, employees hired after November 8 will be required to show evidence that they have received at least one dose of the vaccine prior to employment at POWDR, and we will require that they be fully vaccinated within 30 days of their start date.

We do understand that some employees may not be able to receive the vaccine for medical reasons or religious beliefs or practices. It is in large part to protect this vulnerable group that we are requiring those who can be vaccinated, to do so. Please contact HR if you believe this applies to you.

How to get your vaccination: Make an appointment or walk into your local pharmacy, no insurance is needed.

  • Costs: $0
  • Average time it takes to get a vaccination: 15 -20 minutes (depending on where you go)

COVID-19 Daily Screening

Daily screening is an important step to early identification of COVID-19 and the prevention of any spread within our employee and guest community. The Daily Screening tool will maintain your confidential information and will be required to be completed by you every day, starting December 1, 2020 (or your start date). To access our new COVID-19 sick pay should you meet the criteria, you must conduct the daily screening each day worked, before arriving to work.  

The Daily Screening tool will be administered by our partner, JobSiteCare®, and their team of in-house technology and medical professionals.  

How it Works 

  1. Register for the service by scanning the QR code above and entering your name, cell phone number, and resort. You will receive a text message confirming registration.   
  1. Save the JobSiteCare® phone number 833-321-1114 as a contact in your phone. You will need this number to conduct the Daily Screening. 
  1. Before arriving to work each day, send a text with the word “check” to the saved JobSiteCare® contact.   
  1. You will receive a text message with a unique link to complete the Daily Screening.  

No symptoms are noted: You will receive a link to obtain an electronic badge and QR code which will allow you to proceed to work. For some departments, a manager will scan the QR code on the employee’s phone and complete a temperature screen which will be recorded as pass or fail. The numerical value of the temperature will not be recorded. 

Symptoms noted: You will receive a message instructing you to not proceed to work and to follow your department’s protocol for calling into work sick. Within 2-4 hours you will receive a call from a nurse or doctor on the JobSiteCare® team. The medical professional will discuss the reported answers and symptom(s) and instruct you to; (1) proceed to work; (2) isolate at home for a specified period of time; or (3) proceed to a COVID-19 testing location. Only details specific to COVID-19 symptoms will be shared with your manager and HR department. All other details about non-COVID-19 related symptoms and medical history will remain confidential. If you are instructed to stay home to quarantine and be tested, you will be covered by Lee Canyon’s COVID-19 Sick Pay.  

We are confident that the Daily Screening tool and the other Operation Stay Safe actions we are taking (re-imagining the employee experience, mental wellbeing features, and COVID-19 sick pay) will help protect the longevity of the season.
